Born in Johannesburg, Emma Macwilliam won many baby beauty contests. She achieved many academic accolades throughout her school career, including achievements in the sports arena, namely tennis, netball, swimming, dancing, badminton and squash. She is also experienced in Latin and Modern ballroom dancing and is currently training in CrossFit with the sports science students.
Emma’s desire to help with charity started during high school, where she won an inter-school competition raising over a quarter million Rand for various charities.
Emma is currently studying a degree in languages, psychology and linguistics. A degree in speech pathology and audiology will follow, further highlighting her passion for helping others.
Well travelled and fluent in English, Afrikaans, French and Spanish, not to mention being able to communicate in South African Sign, her command of the Spanish language resulted in her being one of five top students offered the opportunity to participate in an exchange programme in Argentina. Emma is also a keen artist, and has a passion for children, animals and the outdoors.
Having an interest in modelling since the age of 14, Emma has appeared in-front of the camera for numerous shoots, most recently appearing in a local Wimpy television commercial.
