Earth To Echo: Review

Earth To Echo, inspiring science fiction, capturing the mystery, excitement and wonder fo an extraterrestrial occurrence in a small Nevada suburb.

At the heart of this charming film about friendship, three young heroes, Tuck, Munch and Alex, close friends, and social outcasts. On the eve of them having to move from a neighbourhood that will soon be destroyed to make way for a new highway, they set out on one last thrill, one last adventure.

The three boys track down the mysterious messages that are appearing on their cellphones, leading them to a remarkable discovery, and an encounter where the only way forward, is to let good triumph, and shine through.

Earth To Echo is a movie that will invoke nostalgia in some viewers, remembering their childhoods spent outdoors, on their bikes and seeking adventure, or remind others of some of the science fiction greats of the past, such as E.T. and Flight Of The Navigator.

This is a feel good movie, the small number of special effects lead only to some of the cuter moments, its a story of good and doing the right thing, and a tale of friendship and how strong that bond can be.

A charming, heart-warming story, one for the family, and one that will leave you feeling good.

Earth To Echo opens in South Africa 11 July 2014.
