Julianne Moore Wins The BAFTA For Best Actress At Last Night’s British Academy Awards

Julianne Moore’s performance in STILL ALICE adds her BAFTA win to a growing list of awards including the Golden Globe and SAG Awards for best actress. She continues her winning streak putting her as the frontrunner for the Academy Award.

STILL ALICE comes to South African cinemas February 13th, 2015.

In STILL ALICE, Julianne Moore plays Alice Howland – a happily married and renowned linguistics professor with three grown children, who starts to forget words. When she receives the devastating diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease, Alice and her family find their bonds tested.

Moore stars along Kristen Stewart, Alec Baldwin, and Kate Bosworth in the film, which reunites Co-Directors and Co-Writers Richard Glatzer and Wash Westmoreland (THE LAST OF ROBIN HOOD).

“A nuanced and sensitively embroidered performance that is inventive without the slightest hint of contrivance. You go away feeling educated, enlightened and more compassionate than you can possibly imagine. It’s a hell of a lesson in one hell of a motion picture.” – Rex Reed, The New York Observer.
