It’s Girlfriends’ Getaway time with Ster-Kinekor – an evening of female fun and laughter is on the cards with the special pre-screening of Bad Moms at 13 select cinemas countrywide. The Women’s month edition of Ster-Kinekor’s Girlfriends’ Getaway takes place on Wednesday, 17 August, from 19:00.
Treats, product give-aways and lucky draws will be the order of the evening in the various cinema foyers before the movie screens from 20:00. In the Bad Moms comedy, from the writers of The Hangover, Amy Mitchell (Mila Kunis) has a seemingly perfect life: a great marriage, over-achieving kids, a beautiful home and a career. However, she’s over-worked, over-committed and exhausted to the point where she is about to snap.
Fed up, she joins forces with two other over-stressed moms, Kiki and Carla, on a quest to liberate themselves from conventional responsibilities – by going on a wild, un-mom-like binge of long overdue freedom, fun and self-indulgence. This puts them on a collision course with PTA Queen Bee Gwendolyn and her clique of devoted, perfect moms, Vicky and Stacy.
Bad Moms is directed by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore, and also stars Annie Mumolo, Christina Applegate and Jada Pinkett Smith. The film has a running time of 1 hr and 41 mins, and it carries a 13 LND classification.
The film releases at Ster-Kinekor cinemas countrywide on Friday, 19 August.
