With the new and exciting crime drama Lethal Weapon starting on M-Net 101, M-Net Movies Action+ channel 106 has scheduled all four of the popular Lethal Weapon films, starting today at 20:00.
Tonight, Tuesday 20 September and tomorrow, Wednesday, 21 September, the Lethal Weapon movies will be coming your way at 20:00 and 22:00 on M-Net Movies Action+, in the lead up to the premiere of the series, Lethal Weapon Season 1, which starts on Thursday 22 September at 19:30 on M-Net 101.

The Lethal Weapon movie franchise started in 1987 where Mel Gibson and Danny Glover made their debut appearance as the classic buddy-cop duo. Gibson starred as a one-man killing machine and Glover played a by-the-book homicide detective. The first movie’s blockbuster success inspired three more action-packed sequels, which created a cult fan following.
Fast forward to 2016 where an adrenaline-fuelled TV adaption of Lethal Weapon sees a new generation of actors: Clayne Crawford and Damon Wayans, take on the lead roles.
Grief-stricken after the loss of his young wife and unborn child, ex-Navy SEAL-turned-detective Martin Riggs moves to California to “start over” at the LAPD. He’s paired up with Roger Murtaugh, a cop who’s only just recovered from a near-fatal heart attack. Riggs’ penchant for diving headfirst into the line of fire immediately clashes with Murtaugh’s by-the-book technique, so one thing is clear from the moment they meet- this partnership is doomed. But during their first case together, Riggs drags Murtaugh on a chaotic car chase and into a shootout with drug dealers, which, despite his protests, leaves the older cop feeling more alive than he has in years.
