The Vibrant, Colourful World Of Bollywood Comes To BoxOffice For All DStv Customers

DStv customers can look forward to the enchanting music, dazzling costumes and eye-catching dance sequences as Bollywood comes to MultiChoice’s video-on-demand movie rental service, BoxOffice on 12 October 2016.

The latest Bollywood movies will be available at the touch of the GREEN button as BoxOffice delivers this scintillating entertainment in the comfort of your home. Bollywood A-Listers such as Rajnikanth, Sharukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra (among others) will captivate the whole family with nail-biting drama, heart-wrenching romance, vicious betrayal and gut-busting comedy.

When Bollywood on BoxOffice launches on 12 October 2016, the catalogue will boast the latest films in Hindi and Tamil. In future, classic Bollywood movies will be added to the catalogue, and offered at a reduced price.

BoxOffice for all DStv customers

All DStv customers have further reason to celebrate, as all customers will now have access to BoxOffice. Previously this service was only available to DStv Premium, Extra and Compact customers. Now all DStv customers with an active HD PVR or DStv Explora will be able to rent the hottest movies – at just R35 each – whenever they want them.

‘BoxOffice is the most convenient way for our customers to access the latest blockbusters and we’re thrilled that all our customers can now experience this service. DStv customers with an Explora will now be able to choose from a selection of 30 BoxOffice movies.

Pay for BoxOffice with WeChat

Renting your movie on BoxOffice will be even easier in the next month or so as WeChat wallet becomes available on BoxOffice. This option will give customers more flexibility when it comes to choosing a payment method that suits them. WeChat will also give DStv customers R35 back into their WeChat wallets for up to 5 movies as part of our Crazy Deals campaign.

Bollywood on BoxOffice Movie Highlights

Madaari

madariMadaari (English: Puppeteer) is a 2016 Indian social-thriller film directed by Nishikant Kamat. It is produced by Shailesh Singh, Madan Paliwal, Sutapa Sikdar, and Shailja Kejriwal. The film stars Irrfan Khan, Vishesh Bansal, Jimmy Shergill, Tushar Dalvi and Nitesh Pandey and was released on 22 July 2016.

A 10-year-old child, Rohan, is kidnapped from his hostel. Rohan is the only son of the Home Minister. The army and the CBI storm into action. CBI officer Nachiket Verma (Jimmy Shergill) heads the case and gets to restrain order from all the other security agencies to make sure that the kidnappers don’t panic and kill Rohan. Initially the case is thought of mistaken identity wherein the kidnapper might have tried to kidnap the friend of Rohan, Cheeku who was also drugged while kidnapping.

For a long time, there is silence from the kidnapper and everyone is left guessing as who it might be and at the same time the investigation is kept extremely secret, so as to keep the kidnaper(s) from killing Rohan.

Kabali

kabaliKabali is a 2016 Indian Tamil-language gangster-drama film written and directed by Pa. Ranjith and produced by Kalaipuli S. Thanu. The film revolves around the gang war between Kabaleeswaran (played by Rajinikanth) and Tony Lee (portrayed by Winston Chao). Radhika Apte, Dhansika, Dinesh Ravi,Kalaiyarasan, and John Vijay also star in pivotal roles.

Principal photography for the film began on 21 August 2015 in Chennai. While filming mostly occurred in Malaysia, smaller scenes were shot in Bangkok and Hong Kong.

The film was released in Tamil along with dubbed versions in Telugu and Hindi on 22 July 2016, while the film was released in Malay a week later. Kabali was released on 3200 screens in India, of which 2200 were in South India. Upon release, the film had the largest opening weekend for any Indian film worldwide and became the second highest grossing Tamil film ever.

Dilwale

dilwaleDilwale (Translation: The Big Hearted) is a 2015 Indian romantic action comedy film directed by Rohit Shetty, and produced by Gauri Khan and Rohit Shetty under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment and Rohit Shetty Productions respectively.

The film stars Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Varun Dhawan, and Kriti Sanon in lead roles, with Johnny Lever andVarun Sharma in supporting roles.

Dilwale has grossed over ₹372 crore (US$55 million) worldwide, becoming the second highest-grossing film starring Shah Rukh Khan after Chennai Express, also directed by Shetty. However, Khan expressed disappointment with the box office collections and the film’s performance, especially in India.
