Break into song to celebrate M-Net’s 30th birthday
30 viewers will each win R30 000 cash!

M-Net has created a fun-filled competition to celebrate 30 years of timeless magic.

Over the years several catchy theme songs encapsulated M-Net’s spellbinding entertainment offering; now one of them will earn 30 fervent fans R30 000 in cash each. Remember how Queen belted “It’s a kind of magic” to all the shows and movies you loved? Just record your version – or special interpretation – of the song, and you may pocket the money to treat yourself to a well-deserved break or spend it on anything your heart desires. You can do a rock-star rendition, act crazy, perform in an exotic location, or even rap the words – as long as the performances oozes magic.

The best of these performances will also be screened on all of the M-Net channels, where you’ll be in good company. Some of the many famous faces that have frequented the M-Net channels over the past three decades will be breaking out into song on your screens to wish M-Net a happy birthday.

Once you have filmed your performance, you have until Sunday 23 October at 23:59 to upload the clip to www.mnet.tv/30.

“The competition is a special thank you to all our loyal viewers,” says M-Net CEO, Yolisa Phahle. “M-Net has grown immensely over the past 30 years – from being one pay-television channel to producing more than 40 channels for different audiences across the continent on different platforms. But we wouldn’t have been here without the continued support of every single person who finds our kaleidoscope of story-telling entertaining, informative or inspiring. We would love to celebrate this milestone birthday with our viewers and trust that everyone who enters the competition – and those watching the performances on screen – will have loads of fun.”

The competition is open to all Multichoice customers in all of the African countries that have access to the M-Net family of channels and, where applicable, the cash prizes will be paid out in the local currency equivalent. The more than 40 M-Net channels includes a variety of genre, language and audience-specific channels – from kykNET, Mzansi Magic and Channel O to VUZU AMP, Africa Magic and Maisha Magic.
