‘Max Steel’ Electrifies Cinemas This November

Immerse yourself in a story of self-discovery and strength as a 16 year-old boy travels a path to figure out his place in the world – through survival, betrayal, realisation and aspiration. The highly anticipated superhero film adaption of the popular hit TV show, Max Steel will be hitting a cinema near you on November 18, 2016.

Max McGrath (Ben Winchell) and his mother, Molly (award winning actress, Maria Bello) have just moved back to Copper Canyon, the town in which Max’s scientist father (Mike Doyle) died in a mysterious accident shortly after Max was born. As Max adjusts to his new high school, things get complicated when his body starts to generate strange energy that he can’t control.

This unpredictable power eventually pushes him to a near fatal combustion. In the nick of time, a techno-organic extra-terrestrial named Steel (voiced by Josh Brener), who has been secretly monitoring Max’s progress, saves him just before he loses consciousness. The two discover that when joined together they can control the energy and harness it into superhuman strength – and that when apart, neither can survive for long.

These two unlikely friends learn to accept their connected fates and begin to uncover secrets surrounding the death of Max’s father. They dig deeper and soon find themselves hunted by an unforeseen enemy bent on capturing Max and Steel for a sinister agenda of destruction. Uncertain who to trust, they will have to work together to find the truth, and fight the mysterious forces threatening our world.

Written by Christopher Lee Yost and brought to life with Jeff Atherton’s visual effects production and amazing stunt choreography, Max Steel will have you share in all the action and drama of Max’s confusing, exhilarating, yet emotional and honest quest to discover himself and his life’s purpose in the world amongst the chaos that is adolescence.

Yost is an American film, animation and comic book writer previously known for his work in Marvel Comics animated series The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes and co-writer of the comic book series X-23: Innocence Lost, X-23: Target X, New X-Men, X-Force and Scarlet Spider (Volume 2). Atherton is a visual effects producer with a filmography portfolio consisting of huge titles such as X-Men, The Avengers, Fantastic 4 and Aliens vs. Predator, to name a few.
