The highly anticipated superhero film adaption of the popular hit TV show, Max Steel will be hitting a cinema near you this Friday, November 18, 2016.
Max McGrath (Ben Winchell) and his mother, Molly (award winning actress, Maria Bello) have just moved back to Copper Canyon, the town in which Max’s scientist father (Mike Doyle) died in a mysterious accident shortly after Max was born. As Max adjusts to his new high school, things get complicated when his body starts to generate strange energy that he can’t control.
This unpredictable power eventually pushes him to a near fatal combustion. In the nick of time, a techno-organic extra-terrestrial named Steel (voiced by Josh Brener), who has been secretly monitoring Max’s progress, saves him just before he loses consciousness. The two discover that when joined together they can control the energy and harness it into superhuman strength – and that when apart, neither can survive for long.
Written by Christopher Lee Yost, known for his work in Marvel Comics animated series The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, and brought to life with Jeff Atherton’s visual effects production Max Steel will have you share in all the action and drama of Max’s confusing, exhilarating, yet emotional and honest quest to discover himself and his life’s purpose in the world amongst the chaos that is adolescence.
