The award winning film Alison, based on one of South Africa’s most loved inspirational speakers and survival storey’s is now available to rent or stream online. There is also a DVD option. Her best selling Penguin Random House published book, “I Have Life”, translated into 7 different languages, now features two brand new chapters. A catch-up chapter by Alison herself, as well as a special film related chapter by the award-winning director Uga Carlini.

After recently being nominated for Best Documentary at Silwerskermfees 2016, Alison the movie has since been bestowed the top honour of “International Humanitarian Platinum Award Winner” for best documentary at this year’s World Humanitarian Film Awards. DIrector Uga Carlini has also just been nominated for best screenplay for Alison by The Writer’s Guild of South Africa for Best Screenplay Muse Award for 2017.
The film has also been nominated for best overall documentary on the African continent for the upcoming AMVCA 2017 – The African Continent Oscars. It also won best doc at the Asian Pacific Film Festival. It was voted pick of the fest at Dances with Films 2016 by Enclave LA. This was the first time in the festivals nineteen year history that a film from South Africa made the cut.
