Just 16 months ago, the MeerKAT Radio Telescope at the Losberg site in the Karoo, had only 16 antennas that produced images of galaxies millions of light years away. Now, with 32 antennas standing tall, the MeerKAT will be able to transmit high quality, never before seen images of these galaxies in the distant universe. Carte Blanche explores.

Terror Arms Cache
Earlier this week, a large cache of assault weapons including bombs, hand grenades, a suicide vest and automatic rifles were found in a building in Randburg. Experts believe it’s an unusual choice of munition for an armed robbery, so were the weapons intended for terror attacks on our shores? Uncle Kathy: A Carte Blanche Tribute
Described as a humble and fearless leader, anti-Apartheid activist Ahmed Kathrada, who was also affectionately known as “Uncle Kathy”, passed away earlier this week after battling a short illness. As the country continues to mourn the passing of one of its most revered Liberation heroes, Carte Blanche pays tribute.
