The Voice SA: Final Battles Are Here!

Why you need to watch The Voice SA this week:
Final Battles determine who goes through to Knock-Outs!

The final Battle rounds of The Voice SA are here! This Sunday South Africa will find out which of the remaining singers in each coaches’ team will make it through to the gruelling Knock-Out rounds of the show. The Knock-Outs are a brand new addition to the bigger, better Season 2 of The Voice SA, but viewers who have watched the American version of the show will be familiar with this tense round of the competition, which will ultimately determine which 4 singers from each team will be singing for the public’s vote in the Live shows of the series.

In the last Battle episode this coming Sunday, 23 April, only coach Bobby and coach Lira have Steals remaining whereby they can poach singers from the other teams. So far, Bobby has Dawie de Jager, Caroline Brussow, Josh Ansley, Marco Basson and Armand Joubert in his team for the Knock-Outs, meaning that he has three spots that need to be filled by the end of the show. Lira is in a similar boat, as she will be on the look-out for two more exceptional talent to join Jacqueline Tolken, Tender Mavundla, Luke Lovemore, Andrew Snyders, Spha Mdlalose and Dylan Pretorius, who she stole from #TeamKahn last week.

Coach Karen has used all of her Steals, meaning that she will have to choose two talent to go through to the Knock-Outs from her remaining four singers: Marissa Petzer, Samantha Landers, Celest Schoeman and Veronique Lalouette. But who will she pair against whom to Battle it out amongst these four powerhouse female vocalists?

Last year’s winning coach Kahn Morbee’s team is almost full, with one spot up for grabs between his two remaining acts: alternative rocker Freddy Lalendla and the duo “Symphony”, made up of brothers Charl Estherhuizen and Christopher Mabasa.

The winner of the second season of The Voice SA will take home the following fantastic prizes:

  • A recording contract with Universal Music South Africa;
  • R250 000 cash from Dialdirect;
  • A Samsung Gear S3 smartwatch, a Samsung Galaxy A8 smartphone, a Samsung Gear VR, a Samsung 360 camera, a Samsung iconiX set and a 65 inch KS9500 Samsung SUHD TV;
  • A Subaru Impreza 2.0 Premium CVT;
  • R100 000 Truworths fashion.

The Voice South Africa, sponsored by Dialdirect, is broadcast every Sunday night on M-Net channel 101 at 17:30 and every Monday night at 18:00 on M-Net City channel 115.
