Scene Study Workshop With Bonnie Rodini – 17 April 2018

A scene study workshop gives an actor tools to approach a new script or audition sides correctly, before line readings are developed and poor choices are made.

It covers character study, first contact with the script, the rehearsal process, breaking down a scene into beats, objectives, obstacles, relationships, sub text and finally and most importantly sending and receiving dialogue honestly. Actors are paired up with a partner and given a scene to prepare together for class. In class Bonnie will direct the scene and help the actors find different interpretations of the work and challenge the actor to take direction.

“A good actor is one who can truly listen”.

Registration deadline Tuesday 10th April so I have time to research roles for all the actors and different characters.
