Quentin Tarantino won his first Oscar for the screenplay for Pulp Fiction, currently at number seven on IMDB’s top ranked films of all time list. In Kill Bill, Uma Thurman puts in a Golden Globe-nominated performance as The Bride, who wakes from a four-year-coma ready for revenge on her fellow assassins who betrayed her.

South African journalist Donald Woods is forced to flee the country, after attempting to investigate the death in custody of his friend, activist Steve Biko. Oscar-winners Denzel Washington and Kevin Kline co-star as Biko and Woods respectively, with Washington earning his first ever Oscar nomination for the role. Jonas Gwangwa and George Fenton were also Oscar-nominated for their song Cry Freedom.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (due 28/05)
When their relationship turns sour, a young couple (Golden Globe winner Jim Carrey and Oscar winner Kate Winslet) undergo a medical procedure to have each other erased from their memories. After a serial killer imitates the plots of his novels, successful mystery novelist Richard “Rick” Castle receives permission from the Mayor of New York City to tag along with an NYPD homicide investigation team. Castle won four People’s Choice Awards for Favorite TV Crime Drama, with Nathan Fillion taking home Favorite Crime Drama TV Actor in 2016. The show was also nominated for three Emmys.
