After a serial killer imitates the plots of his novels, successful mystery novelist Richard “Rick” Castle receives permission from the Mayor of New York City to tag along with an NYPD homicide investigation team. Castle won four People’s Choice Awards for Favorite TV Crime Drama, with Nathan Fillion taking home Favorite Crime Drama TV Actor in 2016. The show was also nominated for three Emmys.

Meghan Markle will become royalty this weekend when she marries Prince Harry on 19 May 2018. But for us, she’ll always be Rachel Zane in Suits. JUST FINISHED MARVEL’S ‘RUNAWAYS’?
Cloak and Dagger (due 08/06, express from the US)
Marvel’s new series is the story of Tandy Bowen (Olivia Holt) and Tyrone Johnson (Aubrey Joseph) – two teenagers from very different backgrounds, who find themselves burdened by newly acquired superpowers which are mysteriously linked to one another. The first two episodes premiere 8 June 2018, with weekly episodes to follow.

THINK YOUR FAMILY IS COMPLICATED?
The Fosters S1-5 (S5 due 01/07, first and only on Showmax)
A lesbian couple raise a blend of biological, adoptive, and foster children. A Teen Choice Breakout Show and GLAAD winner, with a 97% critics rating and a 89% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. Seasons 1-3 are already on Showmax, with season four due 1 June and season five 1 July. The Fosters is only available on Showmax in South Africa.

ALWAYS DREAMT OF BLACK MERMAIDS?

Siren takes us inside Bristol Cove — a coastal town known for its legend of once being home to mermaids. When the arrival of a mysterious girl proves this folklore all too true, the battle between man and sea takes a vicious turn as these predatory beings return to reclaim their right to the ocean. Look out for Zimbabwean–South African actress Sibongile Mlambo in a leading role as one of the mermaids.

MISSING MONICA FROM ‘FRIENDS’?
Cougar Town S1-6 (due 01/07)
Courtney Cox (aka Monica from Friends) was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Actress In A Comedy or Musical for her role as a fortysomething divorcée with a teen son who considers reentering the dating pool, which just happens to be full of younger men… A three-time People’s Choice nominee.

NEED TO LAUGH ABOUT MARRIAGE?
Togetherness S1-2 (due 01/07)
Some people have it all figured out. These are not those people. In this hit comedy from the Duplass Brothers, a sputtering marriage becomes more complicated when the husband’s friend and the wife’s older sister move in. Melanie Lynskey (Heavenly Creatures) and Peter Gallagher (The OC) were both nominated for Critics Choice awards for their roles in Togetherness.

MISSING JON SNOW?
Gunpowder (due 01/07)
Kit Harington (Jon Snow in Game of Thrones) and Liv Tyler (Lord of the Rings) co-star in Gunpowder, a three-part miniseries about British activist Guy Fawkes and a group of provincial English Catholics who plan to blow up the House of Lords and kill King James I in the early 17th century.

WISHING YOU WERE STILL A TWENTY-SOMETHING?
Younger (due 02/07, first and only on Showmax)
Younger stars Sutton Foster as a 40-year-old single mom re-booting her career and love-life by pretending to be in her twenties. Hilary Duff and Miriam Schor co-star. 99% critics rating, Rotten Tomatoes; People’s Choice comedy nominee 2017. The first four episodes will be available first and only on Showmax on 2 July, followed by episodes 5-8 on 1 August 2018, with the last three episodes express from the US.
