M-Net’s popular cooking reality show My Kitchen Rules South Africa is back on air this week Sunday (22 July) at 18:00 with an Instant Restaurant set in Maboneng, Jozi’s trendy hotbed of creative splendour.
Donald and Luyanda, who describe themselves as food buddies, have a hard act to follow: In the previous episode, married couple Maritsa and Maradine from Bloemfontein set a new standard for the show with a whopping 70 points out of 100 – a big leap forward for MKRSA. All future efforts will be measured against the three-course feast with which they stunned celebrity judges J’Something and David Higgs as well as their fellow Table 2 contestants.
Competitive and outspoken, it’s clear that Donald and Luyanda can talk the talk, but can they walk the walk? The confident pair are not afraid to try new things and are hoping to overtake Maritsa and Maradine to secure a spot at the My Kitchen Rules Headquarters, where the next phase of the competition will play out.
Will Donald and Luyanda rise to the occasion? Or will disagreements in the kitchen lead to unhappy guests and ultimately, an unimpressive score?
Tune in this Sunday, 22 July, to see how these young millennials do their utmost best to create an urban food experience.
My Kitchen Rules SA is broadcast on M-Net channel 101 every Sunday night at 18:00.
