We kick off March with the final 3 weeks of Athol Fugard’s classic “Master Harold”… and the Boys which must close on 21 March, the first round of the annual Shakespeare Schools Festival South Africa in the Western Cape which sees participating schools prepare and perform 30-minute abridged versions of the Shakespeare play of their choice from 3 – 14 March, a fortnight of screenings of the new South African film Moffie presented by the Fugard Bioscope from 15 March and Pieter-Dirk Uys returns as the Evita Bezuidenhout’s younger sister Bambi Kellermann in Never Too Naked from 24 March.

The 2020 Fugard Bioscope World Arts Cinema Season
Throughout March the 2020 Fugard Bioscope World Arts Cinema Season continues with screenings of titles such as Romeo and Juliet from the Bolshoi Ballet, La Boheme from The Royal Opera House, the musical Wise Children and we end March with the much anticipated screening of Margaret Atwood In Conversation from The National Theatre Live.
Now in its 9th year, the Fugard Bioscope World Arts Cinema Season brings audiences the very best offering in recorded live performances all screened in the comfort of the beautiful Fugard Theatre. The World Arts Cinema Season has moved from Sunday mornings to Mondays with screenings taking place at 3 pm and 7 pm.
