Netflix’s Queen Sono & Mnet’s Still Breathing: Kate Liquorish Stars In Both

Kate Liquorish, currently starring in 2 of the biggest shows on South African Television, playing billionaire businesswoman and brutal villain eKaterina Gromova in Netflix’s First African Original for global release: Queen Sono.

Liqourish also plays Abi, the lead in Mnet’s most anticipated local drama of 2020: Still Breathing.

The genres, plots & characters are on opposite sides of the spectrum. In one Liqourish plays a high-powered Russian-speaking, krav maga fighting machine and in the other she plays a housewife who, whilst struggling to fall pregnant, loses her husband of 20 years. Both are brilliant. With many magnificent stories to tell and memories to share, keep an eye on this one.

When not in-front of the camera, Liqourish has also made a name for herself in the South African food and restaurant industries, being a prominent voice in both ‘Food and Home’ and ‘EatOut’. She will soon be launching a highly entertaining food-centric podcast called Smack Your Lips in the second quarter of 2020.
