Strap in for a wild ride as the crew of Pol Veterinary Services works seven days a week pulling calves, pushing prolapses and trying to triage the mayhem that comes with the central Michigan territory.

For the first time. National Geographic Wild will broadcast special programming dedicated to man’s best friend. BarkFest will span an entire month of Sundays at 18:00. Premiering Dog Impossible: No Bad Dogs (1×60) and Science of Dogs: X Factor (1×60) plus series and specials with stories of canine education, unlikely animal friends, incredible dog heroes, and the people who care, protect and love them.

Dog Impossible: No Bad Dogs (1×60) – Sunday 3 May at 18:00

Matt takes on dogs with terrifying trauma, detachment disorders, under-socialized behaviors, and fear-based aggression. Using his transformative techniques, he not only helps the dogs, but he also helps the humans. Matt changes the owner’s relationships with their dogs, so that they both can live happy and healthy lives.

Science of Dogs: X Factor (1×60) – Sunday 10 May and Sunday 24 May at 18:00

Dogs have always been known for their loyalty and companionship, but what about their brainpower? With the ability to detect cancer, predict seizures, and help aid with PTSD, dogs have proven to be much more valuable to humankind than we thought. With updated science and even stories of dogs who drive, at the end of this special, you will be running to the nearest shelter to get one of your own.

Cesar Millan: Love My Pit Bull, 1 – Sunday 17 May at 18:00

For Cesar Milan, pit bulls – and other dogs classified among the so-called “bully breeds” – aren’t bullies at all. If anything, Cesar’s years with his former costar and best pal, Daddy, taught the internationally acclaimed dog expert that pit bulls are not the aggressive monsters that their detractors claim they are. In fact, they are highly intelligent and, with proper training, can be loyal and loving companions.
