2019 MTV EMA Presenter And Performer Goody Bag

Today, MTV has unveiled the contents of the exclusive 2019 MTV EMA Presenter and Performer Goody Bag, as well as the exclusive brands that will have a presence in the Artist Dressing Rooms and Backstage Gifting Suite

Talent will each receive gifts worth an estimated retail value of €10,000 (over R160 000); the amazing products gifted during the 2019 MTV EMAs includes the latest in beauty, fashion, tech, accessories and more from top brands around the world. The 2019 MTV EMAs will be broadcast in partnership with Impulse #OwnYourThrone on MTV Africa (DStv channel 130) from 21:00 CAT.

The 2019 MTV EMAs, one of the biggest global music events of the year that celebrates the hottest artists from around the world, will broadcast to MTV channels globally on Sunday, 3 November from FIBES, Conference & Exhibition Centre of Seville, Spain.

MTV Base And BET Africa Partner With Shekhinah For Rosefest 2019

Power local female artists celebrate Women’s Day with Shekhinah at Rosefest on 9 August at Nasrec Expo Centre

MTV Base (DStv 322) and BET Africa (DStv 129) have partnered with globally acclaimed artist, Shekhinah on her first ever produced music festival RoseFest which features an all-female performance in celebration of Women’s Month at Nasrec Expo Centre in the South of Johannesburg on Friday, 9 August 2019.

The carnival themed style show will see the award – winning sensation leading the festival with a line–up that takes on a literal interpretation of women empowerment with supporting acts including recently announced BET New International Act Award winning Sho Madjozi, SAMA winner Busiswa, songstress Simmy, vocalist and performer Moonchild Sanelly and Melo B Jones amongst many others. MTV Africa’s VJ’s Kim Jayde and Farieda Metsileng will be hosting the inaugural Rose Fest together with BET Africa’s brand personality, Nomalanga Shozi.

“This is an important partnership in supporting our local talent. VIMN Africa In Partnership With Multichoice Expands MTV Base To Launch MTV Music 24

Viacom International Media Networks Africa (VIMN Africa), with its major distribution partner, MultiChoice, is taking its flagship local youth culture channel to a broader South African audience by launching MTV Base on DStv Access. MTV Base brings subscribers the best of locally produced content from Tuesday, 5 March this year. The Youth and Music entertainment channel airs home grown shows like Gqom Nation with Busisiwa and Ntando Duma, edutainment series MTV Shuga starring Thuso Mbedu and Mohale Motaung along with popular Newsish featuring local VJ talent from Tshego Koke, Farieda Metsileng to recent competition winner Ntandose Mosibi.

At the same time, VIMN Africa will expand its international entertainment offering to the continent with the introduction of MTV Music 24 on the DStv platform in addition to the MTV Africa and MTV Base channels. This new content offering for DStv viewers will air as a simulcast (SD) linear TV service with music videos 24/7/365. MTV Music 24 will feature the latest music videos from all genres, including pop, dance, rock and urban, featuring firm favorites and future hits. It replaces VH1 on the platform from Tuesday, 5 March.
