Fury: Review

Fury, the name says it all. The fierce tank battles between German and American forces. The Americans were out gunned, out numbered, and the Germans had superior tanks.

Wardaddy (Brad Pitt) commands a Sherman tank, with a five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines.

Fury is a raw, stark look at the realities of war, and the fact that although there is a victor, everyone loses. This is a no-holds barred look at the violence, the death, and at times shocking occurrences. Fury shows what men can do to each other, how war chips away at their humanity, their morals, and eventually, blurs the lines between what is wrong, and what is right.

The cast deliver stunning performances. The cinematography will delight, and place the audience right in the middle of the action, along with stunning sound design.

Fury is a treat for those who enjoy the war genre, and is sure to be a much talked about film for 2015.

Fury opens 30 January 2015 in South Africa.
