4DX MARKS 2ND ANNIVERSARY WITH RELEASE OF NEW ‘STAR WARS’ MOVIE
Bookings for all Nu Metro cineplexes open at 8am on Tuesday, 10 October 2017
Nu Metro has confirmed that, along with cineplexes worldwide, bookings for STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI will open for Nu Metro’s cinemas at 8:00 (South African time) tomorrow morning, Tuesday 10 October 2017.
The first screening of STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI is taking place at 20:15 on Thursday, 14 December at all Nu Metro cineplexes nationwide – including Nu Metro’s multi-sensory 4DX and fully immersive Xtreme theatres. This means that South African fans will get to see the film first at a special early screening, before the movie’s official global release date of Friday, 15 December 2017.
Nu Metro opened Africa’s first ever 4DX theatre at Nu Metro V&A Waterfront with the release of STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS in December 2015. South Africa now boasts six 4DX cinemas nationwide, exclusive to Nu Metro. The release of the sequel, STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI, in 4DX at Nu Metro marks this revolutionary, multi-sensory cinema brand’s 2nd anniversary on local shores.
In Lucasfilm’s STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI, the Skywalker saga continues as the heroes of THE FORCE AWAKENS join the galactic legends in an epic adventure that unlocks age-old mysteries of the Force and shocking revelations of the past.
