Lifetime (DStv 131), home to Married at First Sight, brings viewers two brand new seasons of the wildly popular social experiment. Married at First Sight New Zealand, season 2, will air on Tuesdays at 8.05pm (starting 24 March) while season 4 of the Australian edition will air on Fridays at 8.05pm (starting 27 March).
In Married at First Sight New Zealand, twelve singles are determined to find love and put their trust in the hands of three relationship experts. Once matched they will see themselves fast-tracking their way into a relationship as a married couple. Viewers get to watch every surprising turn as they navigate this unchartered territory with a literal stranger. Will cultural differences taint fairy-tale endings? When true colours show, who will have the strength to hold on?
Meanwhile in the new season of Married at First Sight Australia, twenty strangers take the biggest risk of their lives to find the love of a lifetime. The number of participants isn’t the only surprise. The contestants include twins ready to become wives together, a single mom and even a male stripper. Over the course of two months, the new relationships are put through what most couples experience over the course of one year.
Monday nights in March, on Lifetime, will give viewers a glimpse into the dark world of cults and extreme beliefs. Tune in every Monday at 9.55pm to watch the intriguing drama unfold. On Monday 2 March at 9.55pm the series finale of Leah Remini: Scientology & The Aftermath will air. This episode, entitled Waiting for Justice is filmed for the first time in front of a live studio audience.
Leah Remini and Mike Rinder explore stories of how the Church of Scientology policies have hindered members from reporting instances of abuse and sexual assault to the authorities. They also speak to a number of ex-Scientologists who share their stories of abuse at the hands of other Scientologists and describe how these policies are aimed at preventing the alleged crimes from becoming public. The episode will also feature a panel of legal, psychological and law-enforcement experts, who provide insight into the impact Scientology’s practices have had on its former parishioners and advise how they can seek justice and effect change in the future.
A brand-new season of Escaping Polygamy (Mondays at 9.55pm, starting 9 March) highlights a cult of another kind. This shocking series follows the work of three sisters who left the “Kingston Clan”, a secretive polygamist group in Utah, known as “The Order”.
Now free, these brave women help other people escape the horror of the lives they once knew. Each episode focuses on the dramatic work of the sisters as they help other young men, women and children escape.
