That is my only condition\u2026)\u201d are lyrics taken from Verona\u2019s latest single from her debut album, which has just been released.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

VOORWAARDES is a love song; written by the versatile musician, radio personality, television presenter, journalist and reality starherself; about the rules you set out in a relationship that is beneficial to both parties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis song comes straight from the heart. I wrote is for the special person in my life, with whom I have been in a relationship for a while. I wanted to let him know how to take care of my heart,\u201d she shares about the single that was produced by Muse Studios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although she would have loved to play it for her fianc\u00e9 at their wedding, they had to postpone their special day because of the Covid-19 pandemic. However, this disaster could not stop her from sharing the song, which she wrote specifically for him, with the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cUnfortunately, our wedding had to be postponed at the beginning of the lock down period. Since then, we were still not able to tie the knot because of the lock down regulations,\u201d the artist explains. \u201cInitially we were very sad about the fact, but we also realized that there are so many bigger things happening and that we have so much to be thankful for.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

VOORWAARDESfollows in the successful footsteps of her previous hits, Maskers, Sterkeren Verloor Myself In Jou, which were very well received and featured on the charts of various radio stations. Both tracks can still regularlybe heard on the radio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The song also forms part of her debut album, which was released in June 2018 just before she made it through to the knockout rounds of the reality series, The Voice SA, after impressing the coaches with her emotional version of Avril Lavigne\u2019s Head Above Water during the blind audition rounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She considers participating in this series as one of the highlights of her music career so far: \u201c’The Voice SA’ was one of the best experiences I have ever had in my life. I will never forget it. I will also cherish the friendships I have made forever.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Verona, who currently resides in Meyerton, was only four when her talent was discovered. Her aunt would pick her up from school and then the two of them would sing together on their way home. Later her mother was told to send her for singing lessons. At the age of eight, Heidi Schoeman of the Theater of Performing Arts, took her under her wing and she performed her first song at the Vereeniging Arts Festival for which she received an A ++. During her school career she regularly participated in Eisteddfods, school concerts and arts festivals. She also completed her Trinity Concert Certificate. The artist was part of the South Gauteng Youth Choir, Colla Voc\u00e9, for four years. She also studied a little bit of musical theory, can play the piano and guitar and always tries to take on new challenges like learning to play the ukulele.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After school, she decided to put her singing career on hold in order to complete her studies and obtained her honours degree in journalism from North West University\u2019s Vaal Triangle Campus. During this time, she was given the opportunity to play the character, Brionay, in 7de Laan and was also the runner-up of a reality series on kykNET called Jy is My Liefling. She and her good friend, Llewellyn du Plessis, were also the producers and presenters of the ASTV series, Vir Ewig en Altyd, which mainly focused on the wedding industry. The singer also worked as co-presenter of a breakfast program on 90.6 FM Stereo, the Vaal Triangle\u2019s local radio station. When she is not singing, she is also a dedicated journalist and social media specialist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently she is working from home, like many others, to keep herself going. \u201cI have my own business, but I also manage a magazine\u2019s social media platforms and work as a journalist and presenter,\u201d says the musician. \u201cAt this confusing time, it is difficult to plan for the immediate future. But in the meantime, we are trying to be innovative and to see opportunities that can better the future.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The compassion and sincerity with which Verona delivers each note with her strong voice, will captivate listeners until the very end. VOORWAARDES showcases the artist\u2019s versatility and talent and is definitely going to be a popularsong choice for special occasions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
