We are very excited to offer our industry recognised acting short courses both online & back on campus this August!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These 6-week short courses provide the ideal part-time training experience for actors looking to learn and expand their skill set.
With classes taught by award-winning industry professionals, you get the expertise you need to step into the local & international industry, and pursue your dream!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have two on-campus short courses and a fully immersive online course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our online short course is ideal for aspiring actors not living in Cape Town, or those that would prefer to maintain social distancing but still attend our world-class tuition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Acting for Film I – The Actor and the Self<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

24 August – 30 September \/ Mon & Wed \/ 5:30pm-8:30pm
Understanding the self is fundamental to authentic performance.
Coaches incorporate various exercises and techniques including those of Uta Hagan, Stella Adler, Ivana Chubbuck and Sandford Meisner to help the actor build a solid acting foundation in preparation for performance on film.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Acting for Film II – Finding Emotional Truth – Immersive Online Course<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

25 August – 1 October \/ Tues & Thurs \/ 5:30pm-8:30pm
Harness emotional truth and deliver dynamic performances.
Using techniques and exercises developed by Lee Strasberg, Susan Batson and other master practitioners, this course allows students to further explore, develop and deepen their understanding of textual analysis, acting and performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
