Sincerely Anne, who has taken the music industry by storm with her haunting voice and heartfelt lyrics, has announced the release of a new single which, like She\u2019s on Fire, offers a powerful message.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TRANSCEND is about overcoming hardships \u2013 whatever form they may take in your life \u2013 and allowing yourself to grow in spite of adversity. \u201cWe all go through hardships and sometimes it feels as if we are in an endless loop of problems. This song is about growing stronger through suffering and allowing ourselves to grow positively from it \u2013 to become warriors,\u201d she explains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As with her other songs, Anne\u2019s inspiration for the lyrics came from personal experience and emotions \u2013 she lost a very close friend to crime and is in the process of overcoming serious health complications due to long-term tick-bite fever. But while the song is a message the artist essentially wrote to herself, it is also one that is universally relatable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI understand that telling someone who is battling something that \u2018you need rain for flowers to grow\u2019 can seem invalidating when they are not standing in your shoes. But TRANSCEND is more like an inner monologue \u2013 a message of encouragement, from you, to you\u201d she explains. \u201cI wanted to grow some flowers from the rain I was experiencing in my life and in the process, I am hoping to inspire others to do the same.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The single, which perfectly showcases her soothing yet powerful voice, will be complemented by a stunning video of which 99% was shot under water, but fans will have to wait until 17 September for the release of this breathtakingly beautiful music video.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anne currently lives in Johannesburg but grew up on a farm, where she was home-schooled until the age of thirteen. She is the youngest of five children and started playing the violin at a very young age. She had been playing violin at events for nineteen years and singing in bands for five years before launching her solo career, which she regards as one of her biggest endeavours, in 2017.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She has enjoyed many career highlights over the years and has shared the stage with a number of big names in the music industry, including Connell Cruise, Ard Matthews, Joshua na die Re\u00ebn, Jan Blohm, Amanda Strydom, Graeme Watkins Project, Shortstraw, Shaun Jacobs and more. She also featured in various orchestras, like the NWU PUK Orchestra and Rand Symphony Orchestra, both as concert master and violinist. She is a violin and piano tutor when she is not on stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMy personal hardships have encouraged me to follow my heart and live passionately while there is still time to do so. What I want people to take from TRANSCEND is that because life is uncertain, we must \u2018live so it\u2019s a shame to die\u2019. While we have air in our lungs, we can still have an impact,\u201d she concludes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
