The album is also the longest charting album by an African artist on the Worldwide and European Apple Music albums charts. The 14-track project includes features from an incredible group of chart-topping artists &#8211; Burna Boy, Skepta, Damian Marley, H.E.R. Ella Mai and Starboy Entertainment\u2019s youngest signee Terri.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to the chart and streaming success, Made in Lagos has received critical press praise and topped several best-of lists including NPR, FADER, Noisey, OkayAfrica and more. Noisey proclaimed \u201cJoy has been in short supply during the pandemic, but WizKid&#8217;s fourth album is overflowing with it\u2026 WizKid manages to prove, once again, that he can infuse his sound with anything and come out with a body of work that&#8217;s begging to be played on repeat.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Fader stated \u201c\u2026its lush production and thoughtful, romantic lyrics helping Wiz trace a path back to the bright, bustling Nigerian capital,\u201d while The Atlantic summarized, \u201c\u2026Wizkid\u2019s record sounds like the sorts of nights made impossible by the pandemic, like the condensation-filled air of a summer party. That Made in Lagos still feels hopeful when such gatherings remain unthinkable is a testament to Wizkid\u2019s star power.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This June marks the 10th anniversary of Wizkid\u2019s debut album Superstar, which featured his breakout hit \u201cHolla as Your Boy.\u201d Subsequent albums, Ayo, Sounds From The Other Side and Made In Lagos, plus his collaborations on other songs, has collectively garnered Wizkid 3 billion streams worldwide to date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the US, Wizkid came to prominence in 2016 through his collaboration with Drake on the #1 hit song \u201cOne Dance.\u201d Over the years, Wizkid has worked with several chart-topping, multi-platinum selling artists such as Future, Chris Brown, Wale, French Montana, Ty Dolla $ign, Major Lazer and more.
