Fifty-eight pictures had originally qualified in the category.<\/p>\n<p>The 10 films are listed below in alphabetical order by title, with their production companies:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cThe Bigger Picture,\u201d Daisy Jacobs, director, and Christopher Hees, producer (National Film and Television School)<\/li>\n<li>\u201cCoda,\u201d Alan Holly, director (And Maps And Plans)<\/li>\n<li>\u201cThe Dam Keeper,\u201d Robert Kondo and Dice Tsutsumi, directors (Tonko House)<\/li>\n<li>\u201cDuet,\u201d Glen Keane, director (Glen Keane Productions &amp; ATAP)<\/li>\n<li>\u201cFeast,\u201d Patrick Osborne, director, and Kristina Reed, producer (Walt Disney Animation Studios)<\/li>\n<li>\u201cFootprints,\u201d Bill Plympton, director (Bill Plympton Studio)<\/li>\n<li>\u201cMe and My Moulton,\u201d Torill Kove, director (Mikrofilm in co-production with the National Film Board of Canada)<\/li>\n<li>\u201cThe Numberlys,\u201d William Joyce and Brandon Oldenburg, directors (Moonbot Studios)<\/li>\n<li>\u201cA Single Life,\u201d Joris Oprins, director (Job, Joris &amp; Marieke)<\/li>\n<li>\u201cSymphony No. 42,\u201d R\u00e9ka Bucsi, director (Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design Budapest)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Academy\u2019s Short Films and Feature Animation Branch Reviewing Committee viewed all the eligible entries for the preliminary round of voting at screenings held in New York and Los Angeles.<\/p>\n<p>Short Films and Feature Animation Branch members will now select three to five nominees from among the 10 titles on the shortlist. Branch screenings will be held in Los Angeles, London, New York and San Francisco in December.<\/p>\n<p>The 87th Academy Awards nominations will be announced live on Thursday, January 15, 2015, at 5:30 a.m. PT in the Academy\u2019s Samuel Goldwyn Theater.<\/p>\n<p>The Oscars\u00ae will be held on Sunday, February 22, 2015, at the Dolby Theatre\u00ae at Hollywood &amp; Highland Center\u00ae in Hollywood, and will be televised live by the ABC Television Network.
