The moment fans have been looking forward to for so long has finally arrived. Gerduan Kemp<\/strong>\u2019s debut album, SESDE SINTUIG<\/em><\/strong>, is finally here and promises to satisfy even the most critical of ears.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the Pretoria based singer and songwriter, he has been working on this pop-rock album since 2019 and he is thankful to finally share it with fans. The content was inspired by events from his own life and represents his story so far.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI chose the title because it is a good description of how I feel about music,\u201d <\/em>he explains. \u201cI want listeners to be able to relate to my songs and find their own story and emotion in it. Most importantly, is that they should enjoy listening to it!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This ten-track release contains the perfect combination of emotional and upbeat songs to captivate fans from start to finish. Gerduan wrote most of the album with Hugo Ludik and Nick Jordaan, but also worked with Riaan Benad\u00e9 and Petrus van Wyk, and Johan Oberholzer and Emil Robert also made a valuable contribution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI only recently moved to Gauteng, and initially it was quite challenging to travel between Bloemfontein and Pretoria to record songs for the album\u201d,<\/em> he says. \u201cWe tried to make each song unique and different, and listeners can look forward to everything from acoustic to pop-rock and dance music.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because he has always felt that JOU TIPE JALOERS<\/em><\/strong>, which he co-wrote with Riaan Benad\u00e9, has the potential to be a great radio hit, he decided to release it with the album. This upbeat song invites you to sing and dance along and is about the positive impact that some problems in a relationship could have on a couple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt was inspired by a musician\u2019s life and describes the jealousy that sometimes accompanies a relationship when work prevents a couple from seeing each other. It also describes how missing someone who is not with you can sometimes take over your mind and make you love that person even more.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The musician, who has lived in the Bloemfontein for most of his life, believes that audiences of all ages will relate to this track and that it will immediately put them in a good mood. That is why he decided to also turn it into a music video.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eric Graham produced the video, and it was filmed in a spacious, open-plan house in Pretoria. It shows the course of a relationship through the different times of the year and also directly depicts the life of a musician, who is rarely at home. \u201cI enjoyed every moment of creating this music video and had the privilege of working with the famous actress, Kristen Raath (7de Laan), and the drummer, Pierre de la Port\u00e9. The idea of the video was taken directly from the song and emphasizes the message that true love can overcome anything,\u201d<\/em> he shares.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
