Marvel Animation\u2019s first full-length Marvel series \u201cSpidey and His Amazing Friends\u201d<\/strong>, geared toward pre-schoolers and their families, will launch on Saturday, 16 October <\/strong>on Disney Junior,<\/strong> DStv channel 309<\/strong>. The series launches with premiere episodes on Saturdays and Sundays from 16 -24 October at 10:00.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our favourite neighbourhood super-hero is used to working solo, but now Peter Parker must discover what it takes to become a truly amazing super-hero: being a spider friend who works well with others. Together with his friends Miles Morales and Gwen, AKA, Ghost-Spider, they will team up with heroes such as Hulk, Black Panther and Ms. Marvel, to defeat evil foes and learn that teamwork is the best way to save the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Preschool kids already love Spidey, so they\u2019ll be delighted to have Peter Parker web-slinging across their screens in this new series, which showcases the exciting adventures of Spidey and his friends as they model the importance of teamwork and helping others in their community. The series is the introduction for pre-schoolers to the super-hero powers of friendship and working together to help others in need. A second season of \u201cMarvel\u2019s Spidey and his Amazing Friends,\u201d has already been greenlit, so fans can look forward to many more neighbourhood adventures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GRAMMY\u00ae Award-nominated musician Patrick Stump, lead singer of the multiplatinum-selling rock band Fall Out Boy, will perform the theme song for \u201cMarvel\u2019s Spidey and his Amazing Friends.\u201d Stump also serves as songwriter and composer for the series, which is the first full-length Marvel series for preschoolers. The theme song, which was also written and produced by Stump, is available today on the\u00a0Disney Junior Hits Playlist<\/a>\u00a0and the digital soundtrack,\u00a0Disney Junior Music: Spidey and His Amazing Friends<\/em>, is set for release Friday, Sept. 17, on Walt Disney Records.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
