Oscar\u00ae-nominated producer Jennifer Fox will return to produce the 12th Governors Awards for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Academy President David Rubin announced today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Honorary Awards will be presented to Samuel L. Jackson, Elaine May and Liv Ullmann, and the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award to Danny Glover on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles.

\u201cHaving already brought us two extraordinary Governors Awards in recent years, we\u2019re thrilled to welcome Jennifer back to kick off Oscar season with another joyous celebration of four legendary honorees,\u201d said Rubin.

\u201cI\u2019m honored to once again produce the Academy\u2019s Governors Awards and look forward to celebrating the extraordinary achievements of Danny Glover, Samuel L. Jackson, Elaine May and Liv Ullmann with a tribute so richly deserved,\u201d said Fox.

Fox has produced or executive produced some of the most iconic films of the last 15 years, including Tony Gilroy\u2019s directorial debut, \u201cMichael Clayton,\u201d which earned seven Oscar nominations.\u00a0 She began her film industry career in development and production at Universal Pictures, where she worked on several films, including \u201cErin Brockovich.\u201d\u00a0 Fox spent the next six years producing with Steven Soderbergh and George Clooney\u2019s production company, Section Eight, where she worked on such acclaimed titles as \u201cSyriana,\u201d \u201cGood Night, and Good Luck.,\u201d \u201cA Scanner Darkly\u201d and \u201cThe Informant!.\u201d\u00a0 Her other film credits include \u201cDuplicity,\u201d \u201cThe Bourne Legacy,\u201d \u201cWe Need to Talk about Kevin,\u201d for which she received a BAFTA nomination, \u201cNightcrawler,\u201d \u201cRoman J. Israel, Esq.,\u201d \u201cVelvet Buzzsaw,\u201d \u201cThe Report,\u201d and her most recent film, \u201cThe Last Duel,\u201d which was released this month. Fox also produced the Academy\u2019s 2018 and 2019 Governors Awards.

The Honorary Award, an Oscar statuette, is given \u201cto honor extraordinary distinction in lifetime achievement, exceptional contributions to the state of motion picture arts and sciences, or for outstanding service to the Academy.\u201d

The Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award, also an Oscar statuette, is given \u201cto an individual in the motion picture arts and sciences whose humanitarian efforts have brought credit to the industry.\u201d
