Since making their debut in November this year, the brand-new duo, Jacques and Liezel<\/strong>, have gone from strength-to-strength.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The release of their second single, WONDER VAN KERSFEES<\/em><\/strong>, not only promises to feature on music lovers\u2019 Christmas playlists, but will most definitely strengthen their place in the South African music industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the pair, this upbeat gospel song (written by the artists themselves) is about God\u2019s gift to His children \u2013 Jesus, the true Wonder of Christmas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe both love the Christmas season and festive songs and wanted to write something that we share in our hearts,\u201d<\/em> they explain. \u201cChristmas is the commemoration of Jesus\u2019s birth, but we forget that He was born for a reason … to be crucified and to die for our sins. His destiny was the cross, His purpose true love and His reason … you!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The track was produced by Jattie de Beer of Artistry Productions and promises to resonate with audiences of all ages. \u201cWe think people will like the song, because it is a fresh, new and upbeat Christmas song in our beautiful mother tongue. It is not about \u2018jingle bells\u2019, reindeer or snowflakes, but about the real reason for Christmas – family and friends coming together to celebrate Jesus\u2019s birth with grateful hearts,\u201d<\/em> they share.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WONDER VAN KERSFEES<\/em><\/strong> follows in the footsteps of their first original song, Uit My Hande<\/em>, which has been a major career highlight for them thus far. \u201cOur debut single was well received by various radio stations, as well as the public. We have received positive feedback and a lot of messages from people telling us how much it meant to them,\u201d<\/em> says the duo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jacques Schoeman and Liezel Marshall met about nine months ago when he bought music equipment from her on Facebook. They became good friends and decided to make music together. The rest is history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jacques enjoys restoring old cars and owns Iron Horse Customs, which specializes in motorcycles whilst Liezel manages her own company that does digital content creation.  She was also part of the gospel group, Onbeskaamd, and has produced a Ghoema-nominated album.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jacques and Liezel want their music to reach as many people as possible and are already working on their next single, which is scheduled for release early next year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With WONDER VAN KERSFEES<\/em><\/strong> they want to remind listeners of what is really important. \u201cJesus is the true \u2018Wonder of Christmas\u2019 and we want to celebrate it with everyone. Sedert hulle in November vanjaar hul debuut gemaak het gaan die splinternuwe duo, Jacques en Liezel<\/strong>, net van krag-tot-krag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Daarom het hulle besluit om musiekharte warm te laat klop hierdie feesseisoen met die vrystelling van hulle tweede enkelsnit, WONDER VAN KERSFEES<\/strong><\/em>, wat beslis \u2019n gunsteling gaan wees op almal se Kersmusiekspeellys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Volgens die musiekpaar, gaan hierdie opgewekte geestelike snit (uit hulle eie pen) oor God wat Jesus \u2013 die ware Wonder van Kersfees \u2013 vir Sy kinders gegee het.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOns is albei mal oor die Kersseisoen en -liedere en wou iets skryf wat ons harte deel,\u201d<\/em> verduidelik hulle. \u201cKersfees is die herdenking van Jesus se geboorte, maar ons vergeet dat hy gebore is vir \u2019n rede… om gekruisig te word en te sterf vir ons almal se sondes. Sy bestemming was die kruis, Sy doel ware liede en Sy rede… jy!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die liedjie is vervaardig deur Jattie de Beer van Artistry Productions en beloof om aanklank te vind by gehore van alle ouderdomme. \u201cOns dink mense sal van die liedjie hou, omdat dit \u2019n vars, nuwe en opgewekte Kerslied is in ons pragtige moedertaal. Dit gaan nie oor klingelende klokkies, takbokke of sneeuvlokkies nie, maar oor die ware rede vir Kersfees \u2013 samesyn vir familie en vriende, terwyl ons met dankbare harte Jesus se geboorte vier,\u201d<\/em> deel die twee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WONDER VAN KERSFEES<\/strong><\/em> volg in die voetspore van hulle eerste oorspronklike lied, Uit My Hande<\/em>, wat vir hulle \u2019n groot loopbaanhoogtepunt was sover en baie positief ontvang is. \u201cOns debuut-enkelsnit is met ope harte ontvang deur verskeie radiostasies, asook die publiek. Ons het nog net goeie terugvoer gekry en heelwat boodskappe van mense wat vertel hoe baie dit vir hulle beteken het,\u201d <\/em>s\u00ea hulle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jacques Schoeman en Liezel Marshall het mekaar sowat nege maande terug ontmoet toe hy, deur middel van Facebook, musiektoerusting by haar gekoop het. Hulle het dadelik gekliek, goeie vriende geword en besluit om saam musiek te maak en s\u00f3 het \u2019n splinternuwe duo ontstaan waarvan ons nog sommer baie in die toekoms gaan hoor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jacques geniet dit om ou motors te restoureer en hy is ook die eienaar van Iron Horse Customs wat spesialiseer in motorfietse terwyl Liezel haar eie besigheid bestuur wat spesialiseer in digitale inhoudskepping. Sy was ook vir \u2018n paar jaardeel van die groep Onbeskaamd en het al een Ghoema-benoemde album op haar kerfstok.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tans is di\u00e9 musikante se doel om soveel as moontlik van hulle eie musiek met die w\u00eareld te deel en werk hulle reeds aan hulle derde enkelsnit, wat vroeg in 2022 beskikbaar sal wees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
