<\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n\u201cYou need someone with the deep technical knowledge and creative insights of Glenn to create an Oscars show that truly celebrates a global love of film. I\u2019m fortunate to be working with him,\u201d said Packer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Weiss has directed numerous live televised events, including six previous Oscars shows, for which he won two Primetime Emmys\u00ae, and 20 Tony Awards\u00ae shows, which earned him three directing Primetime Emmys. He also has won eight DGA Awards for his work on the Oscars and the Tonys. Weiss\u2019 additional directing credits include last year\u2019s multi-network Inaugural Night special \u201cCelebrating America,\u201d \u201cThe Democratic National Convention,\u201d \u201cThe Kennedy Center Honors,\u201d \u201cThe Primetime Emmy\u00ae Awards,\u201d \u201cAmerican Music Awards,\u201d \u201cBET Awards,\u201d \u201cPeter Pan Live!,\u201d \u201cDick Clark\u2019s New Year\u2019s Rockin\u2019 Eve with Ryan Seacrest,\u201d \u201cLive from Lincoln Center,\u201d \u201cAcademy of Country Music Awards,\u201d \u201cMacy\u2019s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular,\u201d and many others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
