Whisking its way onto our screen from <strong>Monday, 7 February<\/strong> on <strong>Disney Channel, DStv channel 303<\/strong>, the show features young Peyton Bala \u2013 the 11-year-old daughter of Melanie and Zwai Bala, performing the theme song.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.samdb.co.za\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Peyton.jpg?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"450\" height=\"338\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.samdb.co.za\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Peyton.jpg?resize=450%2C338&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14155\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.samdb.co.za\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Peyton.jpg?w=450&amp;ssl=1 450w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.samdb.co.za\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Peyton.jpg?resize=300%2C225&amp;ssl=1 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The 13-episode series is hosted by multitalented stars Dara Rene\u00e9 (\u201cHigh School Musical: The Musical: The Series\u201d) and Issac Ryan Brown (\u201cRaven\u2019s Home\u201d), who, along with Disneyland resort pastry chef Graciela Gomez, will guide kid contestants through a series of challenges and surprises as they create the most extraordinary cakes inspired by the magic of Disney.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Bala family were approached by local production company Audio Militia, who were looking for a young female vocalist to record the theme song and someone had mentioned to them that Peyton sings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHer dad Zwai and I discussed with her, whether she wanted to do it, as we believe that she should only do the (musical\/performance) things she wants to do, with no pressure from us,\u201d says Melanie. They were sent the guide vocals and track for Peyton to practise, before she went in to record under the watchful eye of her dad Zwai.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe recorded the different versions of the vocals in about 90 minutes, with the producers and Peyton\u2019s dad there to help where needed, as she can still be shy about singing in front of people. The final product was then sent off to the US for approval, which we received about a week later,\u201d adds Melanie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Peyton, a wonderfully talented young girl says she\u2019s very happy and grateful to have received the opportunity to sing the song. \u201cI was pretty nervous but the people I worked with, were very kind and they helped me a lot. Rene\u00e9 is captivating viewers in her starring role as Kourtney in the Disney+ hit series \u201cHigh School Musical: The Musical: The Series,\u201d set to debut season two this Spring. The versatile performer is also known for her breakout role in the Disney Channel Original Movie \u201cFreaky Friday\u201d as well as her recurring guest star role on ABC\u2019s hit series, \u201cblack-ish.\u201d Brown is best known for his starring role as Booker in Disney Channel\u2019s hit series \u201cRaven\u2019s Home,\u201d now airing its fourth season. He first dazzled audiences singing on \u201cAmerica\u2019s Got Talented\u201d at the age of six. He went on to land recurring guest star roles in numerous hit series, including \u201cblack-ish\u201d and \u201cDevious Maids.\u201d A talented voice actor, Brown can also be heard in several hit animated series, including \u201cPuppy Dog Pals,\u201d \u201cMiles from Tomorrowland\u201d and \u201cThe Owl House,\u201d to name a few.
