Today, for the first time, fans can register their interest to subscribe to Disney+ in South Africa, to take advantage of an exclusive introductory offer of R950. The offer means fans can enjoy 12 months of Disney+ for the price of 8. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The streaming service will launch in South Africa on 18 May 2022. Standard pricing at launch is confirmed at R119 per month, or R1190 for an annual subscription.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Subscribers will have access to Star Wars\u2019 \u201cThe Book of Boba Fett\u201d and \u201cThe Mandalorian\u201d from executive producer and writer Jon Favreau and, from 27 May, the highly anticipated \u201cObi-Wan Kenobi\u201d. In addition, the Marvel Studios\u2019 series \u201cMoon Knight\u201d starring Oscar Isaac as Steven Grant, a mild-mannered gift-shop employee, becomes plagued with blackouts and memories of another life and Academy Award\u00ae-nominated \u201cShang-Chi and the Legend of The Ten Rings\u201d starring Simu Liu and Awkwafina will both be available at launch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Subscribers will also be able to enjoy Disney and Pixar\u2019s Academy Award\u00ae-nominated \u201cLuca\u201d, Walt Disney Animation Studios\u2019 Academy Award\u00ae-winning \u201cEncanto\u201d, which tells the tale of an extraordinary family the Madrigals as well as Academy Award\u00ae-winning \u201cCruella\u201d starring Emma Stone as the legendary \u201cCruella de Vil\u201d. In general entertainment, subscribers will also be able to watch titles including the hit original comedy series \u201cOnly Murders in the Building\u201d, limited series \u201cPam and Tommy\u201d, \u201cThe Kardashians\u201d, \u201cQueens\u201d, as well as \u201cThe Simpsons\u201d and back seasons of \u201cGrey\u2019s Anatomy\u201d, \u201c9-1-1\u201d, and \u201cBlack-ish\u201d. Meanwhile from National Geographic, \u201cThe World According To Jeff Goldblum\u201d and Academy Award\u00ae-winning \u201cFree Solo\u201d will be available to view.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Users will have access to features like high-quality viewing, up to four concurrent streams, 4k video quality for select titles and the ability to set up to seven different profiles, including the ability for parents to set Kids Profiles to access age-appropriate content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
