This beautiful tribute to her late father, produced by 2 Tone Records, was written by the artist herself and combines elements of pop and classical music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMy father passed away in 2017 after a short battle with brain and lung cancer. Nothing can ever prepare you for the death of a loved one or the battle against cancer. I wrote BREATHE<\/strong> last year, exactly four years after his death, when I was overcome with sadness. I couldn\u2019t stop missing him, because the memories never fade,\u201d<\/em> she shares. \u201cThe song symbolizes the injustice of life and how dreams are destroyed, and everything just goes on, because even though people are no longer with us, the water still flows. Fortunately, we always have our memories. It stays and we breathe it in. It also encourages me to appreciate and breathe-in every moment with those I love, because their breath is only lent to us.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sharine believes that the song will appeal to everyone who has ever lost someone they loved. She also hopes that it will comfort listeners when they are sad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The music video of the song, of which the piano scenes were shot on location by Johan Pretorius in the M.L. Spies hall at Ho\u00ebr Meisieskool Oranje, is a heartfelt production in which she immortalizes the memories of her father.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI chose to use a combination of photo and video images of my father, as well as shots of myself in front of the piano. My father always enjoyed listening when I sang or played the piano as a little girl. He was very proud of me and loved listening to music,\u201d <\/em>she explains. \u201cThe song is about him and how his memories are ingrained in my heart. Everyone loved him and I would like those who miss him to watch the video and experience Hannes Liebenberg again.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

BREATHE<\/em><\/strong> is the singer-songwriter and animal lover\u2019s sixth single and follows in the footsteps of hits like Pray<\/em><\/a> and Killer<\/em>, which were very well received.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sharine was born and raised in Jan Kempdorp, where she spent a carefree childhood. Although she has always loved music, it has not been the core focus of her life \u2013 she has spent the past 20 years raising children, creating a safe haven for lions and building various businesses. This changed during lockdown when the mother of four finally had time to sit down and take stock. She started writing about life and love, and soon there was no stopping her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to her love for music, Sharine, who is the co-owner of Bagamoya Wildlife Estate, is passionate about animals. She is also extremely enthusiastic about sport and health and is co-owner of an Ozone Therapy clinic, Ozone Clinic, that helps people be healthier. On weekends she works as chef in her own restaurant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BREATHE<\/em><\/strong> is a special song that will definitely speak to the hearts of those who listen to it and will surely, like the person it is about, have a lasting impression on her fans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That is why their lives should be celebrated. The missing never stops, but luckily the beautiful memories remain. It is especially challenging not to have them around on Father\u2019s or Mother\u2019s Day and that is why I am dedicating the song to him. \u201cMy pa is in 2017 oorlede na \u2019n kortstondige stryd met brein- en longkanker. Niks kan jou ooit voorberei op \u2019n geliefde se dood of die stryd teen kanker nie. Ek het <\/em>BREATHE<\/strong><\/em> verlede jaar geskryf, presies vier jaar na sy dood, toe die gemis en hartseer my ontvou het en net nie wou weggaan nie. Dit was net konstante heimwee wat my gemoed gevul het, omdat die herinneringe nooit ophou nie,\u201d<\/em> deel sy. \u201cDie liedjie simboliseer die onregverdigheid van die lewe en hoe drome verwoes word en als net aangaan, want al is mense nie meer met ons nie vloei die water steeds. Gelukkig vloei die herinneringe nie saam weg nie. Dit bly en ons asem dit in. Dit moedig my ook aan om elke oomblik saam met diegene wat ek liefhet te waardeer en in te asem; want daardie asem is net vir ons geleen.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sharine glo dat almal verlies verstaan en daarom by die snit sal aanklank vind. Sy hoop ook dat dit vir luisteraars troos sal bring wanneer hulle hartseer en heimwee ervaar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alhoewel sy altyd mal was oor musiek, was dit nie die hooffokus van haar lewe nie \u2013 sy het die afgelope twintig jaar kinders grootgemaak, \u2019n veilige hawe geskep vir leeus en ander groot katte en verskeie suksesvolle besighede gebou wat sy steeds bedryf. Dit het verander gedurende grendeltyd, toe hierdie ma van vier uiteindelik tyd gehad het om asem te skep en weer haar musiekpassie uit te leef. \u201cOns moet tyd vat om die mense wat nie by ons is of kan wees nie se herinneringe te koester. Hulle was deel van ons lewens en het gehelp vorm aan die mense wat ons vandag is. Daarom moet \u2019n mens hulle lewe vier. Die gemis raak nooit makliker nie, maar die mooi herinneringe bly. Veral op dae soos Vadersdag en Moedersdag is dit uitdagend om hulle nie meer met ons te h\u00ea nie, en daarom dra ek die lied op aan hom. Om sy herinnering op Vadersdag vier en te koester,\u201d<\/em> sluit sy af.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
