Ontbytsake<\/strong><\/em>, the popular kykNET breakfast show (channel 144), which focuses on giving small and medium-sized businesses national exposure, has become an indispensable part of many South Africans\u2019 weekend morning routine.<\/p>\n\n\n

The dynamic team behind the show \u2212 Dawie Roodt (economist), Leon Gropp (musician), Eloise Cupido (actress), Corli Botha (chef) and the production crew \u2212 are always up for a challenge, trying to make a difference wherever possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It should therefore come as no surprize that they did not hesitate to roll up their sleeves and get involved when kitchen sponsor, AEG<\/a>, challenged them to participate in Chefs with Compassion\u2019s annual soup challenge on 18 July 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chefs with Compassion is the biggest annual collaboration of cooks, communities and corporates, cooking for a cause. The aim of this initiative is to provide 67 000 litres of soup to hungry South Africans across the country on Mandela Day (18 July 2022).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In collaboration with The B-Loved Foundation, a non-profit organization, created to support struggling communities by The B4i Project (the umbrella company that owns Ontbytsake<\/em>), the team has promised to donate 10% (6 700 litres) of the total soup target.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A high-quality dry soup mixture that can effortlessly be converted into a nutritious and delicious soup, will be used for this purpose. During Corli\u2019s segment (between 07:30 and 08:00) this coming Saturday (16 July 2022), she will be demonstrating what the mixture looks like and how easy it is to prepare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 67 000-litre soup challenge was launched in 2020 in honour of Mandela Day and has fed close to 600 000 hungry people ever since.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to preparing soup themselves, people can also contribute by making a donation to The B-Loved Foundation, who will be distributing soup to various charity organisations in Gauteng.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt is important for our country to uplift women where possible. The B-Loved Foundation is dedicated to providing food to the less fortunate on Mandela Day, especially to resilient women and children,\u201d<\/em> says Octavia Ephraim, director of The B-Loved Foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Daarom het hulle nie twee keer gedink om betrokke te raak toe hulle kombuisborg, AEG<\/a>, hulle uitdaag om deel te neem aan Chefs with Compassion se jaarlikse sop-uitdaging op 18 Julie 2022 nie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/a> Chefs with Compassion is die grootste jaarlikse samewerking van sjefs, gemeenskappe en groot besighede om \u2019n verskil te maak, en vanjaar beoog hulle om op Mandela-dag (18 Julie 2022), 67 000 liter sop te maak en te skenk aan verskeie welsynsorganisasies wat kos aan behoeftiges voorsien.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In samewerking met The B-Loved Foundation, \u2019n nie-winsgewende organisasie wat deur The B4i Project (die oorhoofse maatskappy waaraan Ontbytsake<\/em> ook behoort) gestig is om minderbevoorregte gemeenskappe te ondersteun, het die Ontbytsake<\/em>-span onderneem om 10% (dus 6 700 liter) van die totale sop-teiken by te dra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2019n Ho\u00eb kwaliteit dro\u00eb sopmengsel, wat vinnig in \u2019n voedsame, heerlike sop omskep kan word, gaan gebruik word. Corli sal eerskomende Saterdag (16 Julie 2022) tussen 07:30 en 08:00 op die program wys hoe dit lyk en hoe vinnig dit is om te maak.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die 67 000 liter-sopuitdaging het op Mandela-dag in 2020 afgeskop en het sedertdien al aan sowat 600 000 honger mense kos voorsien.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Buiten daarvoor om self sop te maak, kan belangstellendes ook help deur skenkings te maak aan The B-Loved Foundation wat die sop op grondvlak sal versprei aan uitgesoekte begunstigdes in Gauteng.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
