The film follows the road travelled by the director more than two decades before seeking greener pastures through irregular migration to Europe. Nnaebue turned back when told about the dangers that lay ahead, and now he goes on the route to see why young people still go this route.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.samdb.co.za\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/02-No-U-Turn.jpg?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.samdb.co.za\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/02-No-U-Turn.jpg?resize=400%2C225&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-16130\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.samdb.co.za\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/02-No-U-Turn.jpg?w=400&amp;ssl=1 400w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.samdb.co.za\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/02-No-U-Turn.jpg?resize=300%2C169&amp;ssl=1 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a><figcaption>No U-turn<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Seydou Cisse\u2019s&nbsp;<strong><em>Taamaden, the Walking Child<\/em><\/strong>, follows young immigrants from West Africa, who faced the daunting and dangerous crossing of the Mediterranean, thanks to their&nbsp;<em>marabout<\/em>&nbsp;or spiritual guides who guide them in prayers and rituals.<em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Director of the award-winning film&nbsp;<em>Whispering&nbsp; Truth to Power<\/em>, Shameela Seedat\u2019s&nbsp;<strong><em>African&nbsp; Moot<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;delves into the complexities of migration law in Africa, as aspiring lawyers gather to debate in the annual African Human Rights Moot Court Competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For DIFF,\u00a0<strong><em>Taamaden\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>will have one \u201cin-person\u201d screening at Suncoast CineCentre on Tuesday, 26 July at 2pm.\u00a0<strong><em>Taamaden<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0and the other 3 films will be screened online from the DIFF digital platform on <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/durbanfilmfest.com\" target=\"_blank\">durbanfilmfest.com<\/a>.
