Mann\u2019s producing the picture through his Moto Pictures alongside P.J. van Sandwijk and John Lesher, as well as John Friedberg, Lars Sylvest, Thorsten Schumacher, Gareth West and Thomas Hayslip with major support from producers Andrea Iervolino &amp; Monika Bacardi and their production service company, ILBE, and are joined by Executive Producer, Niels Juul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">STX is eyeing a Fall, 2023 release with its partners, including SHOWTIME, the film\u2019s exclusive streamer, following its anticipated theatrical release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">2022 is a prolific year for Mann. In addition to <em>Ferrari <\/em>it\u2019s also brought Mann\u2019s <em>Tokyo Vice <\/em>pilot, which launched the HBO Max series that has been ordered for a second season, and his best-selling, critically-acclaimed first novel, <em>Heat 2<\/em>, an explosive evocation of the <em>before <\/em>and <em>after <\/em>of his iconic film.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe most thrilling part of this experience,\u201d said Mann, \u201cis working with dedicated and passionate artists, Adam Driver, Penelope Cruz and Shailene Woodley, as well as with an extraordinary supporting cast of Jack O\u2019Connell, Patrick Dempsey, Sarah Gadon, Gabriel Leone and more in these highly dramatic roles.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Ferrari <\/em>is set during the summer of 1957. Ex-race car driver, Ferrari, is in crisis. Bankruptcy stalks the company he and his wife, Laura, built from nothing ten years earlier. Their tempestuous marriage struggles with the mourning for one son and the acknowledgement of another. He decides to counter his losses by rolling the dice on one race \u2013 1,000 miles across Italy, the iconic Mille Miglia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Noah Fogelson, CEO of STX Entertainment said, \u201cWe know that <em>Ferrari <\/em>will be an incredibly special film, and in Michael\u2019s hands, it will not only be a thrilling story that will put audiences in the driver\u2019s seat, but a gripping and compelling character drama that will stay with moviegoers long after it ends.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Proudly filming on location in Italy, Mann will bring his passion for the extraordinarily vivid characters who created the fusion of art in motion and racing power that is Ferrari in an epic, cinematic experience set in the volatile and dangerous world of motor racing in the 1950s. Industry legend Mann is a four-time Academy Award\u00ae nominee, for Best Picture (<em>The Insider, The Aviator<\/em>), for Best Screenplay (<em>The Insider<\/em>), and for Best Director (<em>The Insider<\/em>), as well as a two-time Emmy Award\u00ae winner (<em>The Jericho Mile, Drug Wars: The Camarena Story<\/em>). His iconic feature writing and directing credits also include <em>Heat, The Last of the Mohicans, Collateral, Public Enemies, Miami Vice<\/em>, <em>Ali, <\/em>and <em>Thief<\/em>.
