Oscar\u00ae-nominated producer Jennifer Fox will return to produce the 13th Governors Awards for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Academy President Janet Yang announced today.\u00a0 It is her fourth time producing the event.<\/p>\n\n\n

Honorary Awards will be presented to Euzhan Palcy, Diane Warren and Peter Weir, and the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award to Michael J. Fox on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe\u2019re thrilled to have Jennifer back at the helm to help us kick off Oscar season with a tribute fitting to these four extraordinary individuals.\u00a0 Her contribution in past years has only elevated this truly special and joyous event,\u201d said Yang.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI could not be more delighted to produce the Academy\u2019s Governors Awards again and look forward to honoring the remarkable achievements of Michael J. Fox, Euzhan Palcy, Diane Warren and Peter Weir,\u201d said Fox.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fox has produced or executive produced some of the most iconic films of the last 15 years, including Tony Gilroy\u2019s directorial debut, \u201cMichael Clayton,\u201d which earned seven Oscar nominations.\u00a0 She began her film industry career in development and production at Universal Pictures, where she worked on several films, including \u201cErin Brockovich.\u201d\u00a0 Fox spent the next six years producing with Steven Soderbergh and George Clooney\u2019s production company, Section Eight, where she worked on such acclaimed titles as \u201cSyriana,\u201d \u201cGood Night, and Good Luck.,\u201d \u201cA Scanner Darkly\u201d and \u201cThe Informant!.\u201d\u00a0 Her other film credits include \u201cDuplicity,\u201d \u201cThe Bourne Legacy,\u201d \u201cWe Need to Talk about Kevin,\u201d for which she received a BAFTA nomination, \u201cNightcrawler,\u201d \u201cRoman J. Israel, Esq.,\u201d \u201cVelvet Buzzsaw,\u201d \u201cThe Report\u201d and \u201cThe Last Duel.\u201d\u00a0 She is currently working on her next film, \u201cMagazine Dreams.\u201d Fox also produced the Academy\u2019s 10th, 11th and 12th Governors Awards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Honorary Award, an Oscar statuette, is given \u201cto honor extraordinary distinction in lifetime achievement, exceptional contributions to the state of motion picture arts and sciences, or for outstanding service to the Academy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award, also an Oscar statuette, is given \u201cto an individual in the motion picture arts and sciences whose humanitarian efforts have brought credit to the industry.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
