Today, Disney+ has debuted the trailer and key art for the highly anticipated, new Original series \u201cThe Full Monty.\u201d From the makers of the iconic BAFTA award-winning movie, this eight-part series will premiere on June 14 exclusively on Disney+ in South Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Taking place 25 years after the original British smash hit, the 8×60\u2019 series will follow the same band of brothers as they navigate the post-industrial city of Sheffield, and society\u2019s crumbling healthcare, education, and employment sectors. The comedy drama will uncover what happened to the gang after they put their kit back on, exploring their brighter, sillier and more desperate moments. It will also highlight how the fiercely funny world of these working-class heroes \u2013 still residing in Sheffield \u2013 has changed in the intervening decades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The original movie\u2019s Academy Award\u00ae-winning screenwriter Simon Beaufoy returns, joined by co-writer Alice Nutter (\u201cAccused\u201d), with Uberto Pasolini (\u201cNowhere Special\u201d) also coming back as executive producer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the lead cast reprising their fan-favorite roles are Robert Carlyle (\u201cTrainspotting,\u201d \u201cOnce Upon A Time\u201d) as Gaz, Mark Addy (\u201cGame of Thrones,\u201d \u201cA Knight\u2019s Tale\u201d) as Dave, Lesley Sharp (\u201cBefore We Die,\u201d \u201cScott and Bailey\u201d) as Jean, Hugo Speer (\u201cBritannia,\u201d \u201cShadow and Bone\u201d) as Guy, Paul Barber (\u201cThe Dumping Ground,\u201d \u201cGloves Off\u201d) as Horse, Steve Huison (\u201cThe Royle Family,\u201d \u201cThe Navigators\u201d) as Lomper, Wim Snape (\u201cThe Beaker Girls,\u201d \u201cGentleman Jack\u201d) as Nathan and Tom Wilkinson (\u201cBatman Begins,\u201d \u201cMichael Clayton\u201d) as Gerald.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
