This much anticipated and globally celebrated festival is recognised as the \u2018Oscars\u2019 of the creative industry but, like the Academy Awards, not everyone gets invited!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you are in Johannesburg or Cape Town however, you\u2019re in luck! Ster-Kinekor, as the official representative of Cannes Lions in South Africa, will be hosting two Cannes Lions Wrap-Up events to bring you the highlights from this year\u2019s festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As in previous years, Ster-Kinekor and an expert industry panel including some of this year&#8217;s Cannes jury members, will share highlights of their personal Cannes experiences, discuss current and future trends emerging from the festival that got their creative juices flowing, and showcase some of the award-winning work across the categories they are judging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The two official Cannes Lions Wrap-Up events take place from 10:00 \u2013 12:30 on 12 July at Ster-Kinekor Mall of Africa (Midrand) and 14 July at the Ster-Kinekor V&amp;A Waterfront cinema complex in Cape Town. Tickets are R100 per person, with all proceeds going back into the creative industry to support various deserving projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The following speakers have been confirmed for the post-Cannes Lions Wrap-Up events, hosted by Ster-Kinekor:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Sylvester Chauke &#8211; Founder &amp; Chief Architect: DNA Brand Architects (and \u2018Trendspotter\u2019 at the Cannes Lions Festival)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Loyiso Twala, Chief Creative Officer of McCann Worldgroup (Print &amp; Publishing Lions Jury)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Clare Trafankowska, Managing Director of iProspect SA, dentsu (Media Shortlisting Jury)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Jeana Theron-Khoury \u2013 Director, Darling Films (Film Craft Lions Jury)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cannes Young Lions Winners &#8211; SA:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Raphael Kuppasamy \u2013 Joe Public<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bernice Mosala \u2013 Joe Public<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAs the official Cannes Lions Festival representative for the South African market, we are delighted once again to be bringing the insights, trends, learnings and winning campaigns direct from the stages of Cannes to our cinemas, for the benefit of the local industry,\u201d says Lynne Wylie, chief marketing officer of Ster-Kinekor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe annual festival attracts the top creative minds from around the world.
