The purpose is to ensure that they may promote their films and television products, share their expertise and promote the South African film industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Application Criteria:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Attendance of a film workshop<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Screening of a project<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participation in the festival or market competition<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Nomination for an award<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Invitation to participate in a panel discussion<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pitching of a film at festival or market<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Funding Caps:<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>International Film and Markets attendance \u2013 R50 000.00<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Local (South Africa) Film and Markets attendance \u2013 R 20 000.00<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Specific conditions are applicable for each funding category, and it is important for applicants to take careful note of these conditions before applying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Project support\u00a0<\/strong>is limited to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Two (2) international and two (2) local festivals or markets per financial year, per applicant; and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>One (1) representative per project per festival or market<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Individual support is limited to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>One (1) international and one (1) local festival or market per financial year<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Opening date for submissions: 11 September 2023<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Closing date for submissions:<\/strong>\u202f<strong>\u00a0\u00a023 September 2023<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applicants need to register and complete the online application form using the following link: <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/nfvf.praxisgms.co.za\/xaLogin\/NFVF\/reglogin.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2fdefault.asx\" target=\"_blank\">nfvf.praxisgms.co.za\/xaLogin\/NFVF\/reglogin.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2fdefault.asx<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Important notice:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please take note of the following disclaimers:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\">\n<li>Tier yourself accordingly<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Carefully read the definitions of the subcategories before selecting<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It is advisable that the main applicant applies instead of using a 3<sup>rd<\/sup>\u202fparty to apply on their behalf<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Only recently certified documents will be accepted. (NOT OLDER THAN 6 MONTHS, WITH A DATED STAMP)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Only valid documents will be allowed (NOT EXPIRED)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applications that do not meet compliance will be\u202fdisqualified<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tier breakdown:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tier 1:<\/strong>\u202fExperienced filmmakers who have a proven track record for developing and producing 3-5 theatrically released feature films.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tier 2:<\/strong>\u202fFilmmakers with limited experience but who have developed and produced 1-2 theatrical feature films, television fiction, documentaries, 2-3 short films and\/or commercials seeking to venture into feature film development and production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tier 3:<\/strong>\u202fNew entrants into the industry, particularly recent film school graduates from historically disadvantaged backgrounds. This intervention is geared towards first time filmmakers having a \u201ccalling card\u201d in the film industry.
