He is well-known known for his YouTube clip <em>Wheelies<\/em>, which has been circulating internationally. Wayne freelances across South Africa and his one-man show <em>Roots<\/em> has been one of his most popular to date. He was voted first runner-up at the 2003 Sprite Soul Comedy Festival in Sandton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For more than a decade (2012 &#8211; 2023), Wayne performed stand-up and plied his trade across Australia and New Zealand. His television experience includes an online stand-up comedy performance at the Toyota SU Woordfees during the Covid 19-pandemic. His versality also earned him the opportunity to host the premiere screening of HBO\u2019s The House of the Dragon Season One on Mnet in 2022. Wayne presents <em>Laidback Thursday <\/em>on Bush Radio. He hails from the Boland town of Wellington in the Western Cape and has served in various capacities since graduating from City Varsity\u2019s School of Media and Creative Arts in 2008.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His professional expertise ranges from writing and directing award-winning productions, to capturing the world of performing arts through his camera\u2019s lens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2023, Jeremeo co-played the role of MC in the Kyknet Films &amp; Go2 Content film <em>Ouma Olive<\/em>. Last year, he appeared in various television commercials and played the role of Marno Venter in the popular telenovela <em>Arendsvlei<\/em>. During this period, Jeremeo also worked as a voice over artist, director and social media\/marketing professional for various clients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a><\/a> In 2021, his video production <em>Ouma Lilly en Haar Klong<\/em> featured on DSTV in the Toyota US Woordfees after receiving a prestigious 2020 Silver Standard Bank Ovation Award at the first online digital National Arts Festival. Another noteworthy accolade is the NATi Rising Star Award at the 2019 Suidoosterfees for Jeremeo\u2019s vibrant storytelling in two monodramas \u2014&nbsp;<em>Jerry, an Unconventional Hero<\/em> and <em>Dude, Wa\u2019s My Bakkie?<\/em> \u2014 which were offered as a double feature at Suidoosterfees and other festivals.
