But even the smartest people can\u2019t outsmart love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Matilda en Matthys<\/em> stars Emma van Heyn (<em>Twintig Tone In \u2018n Hangkas, Troukoors<\/em>) and Adrian Steyn (<em>Die Onderonsie, Wyfie<\/em>) in the title roles, opposite the likes of Bertha le Roux-Wahl (<em>7de Laan<\/em>), Pietie Beyers (<em>Die Onderonsie<\/em>) and comedian Mojak Lehoko.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The romcom is the debut film from writer-director Bibi Slippers (a published poet and SAFTA-nominated screenwriter for <em>Hotel<\/em>). Industry legend Danie Bester is producing through Film Factory. Can they get back &#8220;perfect umjolo&#8221; in time to save each other, their fans\u2019 belief in love, and a lucrative brand deal with a dating app?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thandi Make (<em>Gomora<\/em>, <em>The Queen<\/em>) and Aluve Mjali (<em>How to Manifest A Man<\/em>) co-star as Penny and Kwanda, opposite the likes of Sikelelwa Vuyeleni (<em>Adulting<\/em>, <em>1802 Love Defies Time<\/em>), Simphiwe Ngema (<em>The Queen<\/em>, <em>Rockville<\/em>), Miss SA finalist Luyanda Zuma and multi-award winner Refilwe Modiselle (<em>White Gold<\/em>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MultiChoice Talent Factory alumnus Charlie Sampson (<em>Uzobuya<\/em>) directs the Showmax Original romcom, which is produced by MECA and Warchild.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\"><strong>\u200bIntlawulo<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Showmax film | Stream from 12 February<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed aligncenter is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Elinye ithuba, a second chance | Intlawulo | Showmax Original\" width=\"750\" height=\"422\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/JVPrzqFA1j8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The debut feature from SAFTA winner Thandokazi Msumza (<em>DiepCity,<\/em> <em>The Wife<\/em>), <em>Intlawulo<\/em> follows Bucks, who falls in love with his dead best friend\u2019s sister while trying to make amends to her family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Khojane Morai (<em>Umbuso<\/em>, <em>Abumkhulu)<\/em> and Kealeboga Masango (<em>Rhythm City(<\/em> co-star, with Momelezi Ntshiba (<em>Silent Witness<\/em>, <em>An Act of Defiance<\/em>) as the dead boy\u2019s father, a pastor who invites Bucks to join his church\u2019s choir.
