Betfred Super League kicks off on ESPN Africa this February<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

True to its promise to bring sports enthusiasts across the continent the best sporting action, <\/strong>ESPN Africa has announced another exciting addition to its programming. On Thursday 15 February, at 21:00 (CAT), The Betfred Super League kicks off and will broadcast live two matches per week on ESPN (DStv 218, Starsat 248) for nine months, culminating in the finals in October 2024, providing fast-faced, entertaining rugby action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Played in England and France, the Betfred Super League <\/em><\/strong> features over 150 fixtures. Fans can look forward to exhilarating rugby action on Thursdays and Fridays at 22:00 (CAT) with occasional matches to be shown on Saturday afternoons, later in the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No strangers to the international stage, several players with African heritage  play in  Betfred Super League<\/em><\/strong> teams, including Jayden Okunbur \u2013 Hull FC (Nigeria and Zimbabwe), Moses Mbye \u2013 St Helens (Gambia), Kruise Leeming \u2013 Wigan Warriors (Eswatini), Daniel Okoro \u2013 Hull KR (Nigeria), Justin Sangare \u2013 Leeds Rhinos (Mali) and Muizz Mustapha \u2013 Castleford Tigers (Nigeria).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Betfred Super League<\/em><\/strong> captivates spectators with its unyielding intensity, swift-paced action, and sporting finesse, offering a dynamic and spellbinding experience that keeps fans enthralled throughout each match. As part of its coverage, ESPN Africa will show the following competitions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Men\u2019s Super League<\/strong>:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Includes two games from each of the 27  regular  rounds, playoff eliminators, Semi Finals, and the Grand Final at Old Trafford.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. World Club Challenge (WCC):<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      This match showcases the Super League Champions Wigan Warriors<\/em> as they go up against the NRL Champions Penrith Panthers<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Challenge Cup (CCup):<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        This historic competition started in 1896. Five fixtures will be broadcast including the final that takes place at Wembley.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
