Judged by an independent panel of experts, award winners were recognized as individuals, companies and products\/services for outstanding innovations in media technology that promote sustainability and foster economic and social development. Amazon Web Services (AWS) supported the awards ceremony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;NAB Show is proud to recognize the individuals and companies leading the way in sustainability in our industry,&#8221; said Chris Brown, executive vice president and managing director, NAB Global Connections and Events. &#8220;As we celebrate our collective commitment to environmental responsibility and the creation of a more sustainable future for our industry, we hope to inspire innovation and encourage best practices in areas such as energy efficiency, waste reduction and sustainable content production. We thank AWS for its support of this award program.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We want to congratulate all of this year\u2019s winners on their innovations that equally benefit our industry and our planet,&#8221; said Samira Bakhtiar, General Manager of Media &amp; Entertainment, Games and Sports at AWS. &#8220;AWS is incredibly proud to sponsor the second installment of the NAB Show Excellence in Sustainability Awards, and we hope these awards inspire others to find new ways to reduce their carbon emissions and introduce more sustainable practices into future productions.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NAB Show and AWS selected The Sustainable Entertainment Society as the recipient of proceeds from the Excellence in Sustainability Awards Program.
