{"id":22170,"date":"2024-05-24T16:12:32","date_gmt":"2024-05-24T14:12:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.samdb.co.za\/blogs\/?p=22170"},"modified":"2024-05-24T16:12:35","modified_gmt":"2024-05-24T14:12:35","slug":"huisgenoot-crowns-miss-teen-2024","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.samdb.co.za\/blogs\/blog\/2024\/05\/24\/huisgenoot-crowns-miss-teen-2024\/","title":{"rendered":"Huisgenoot Crowns Miss Teen 2024"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The competition was fierce, but the votes are in and Carli Oosthuizen is <em>Huisgenoot<\/em>\u2019s Miss Teen 2024!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Carli, who was one of thousands of girls who entered for this coveted title, is 17 years old and currently resides in Senekal in the Freestate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This beauty has been a favourite on social media from the get-go, and despite a very strong top 10 \u2013 Amy-Leigh Shirley, An\u00e9 Lamprecht, Carli Oosthuizen, Danielle Joubert, Hildegard Havenga, Jackie de Klerk, Lily Mtsweni, Mareli Jordaan, Telisa van Heerden, and Tiara van Wyk \u2013 she ultimately emerged victorious.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;<em>Winning the Huisgenoot Mej. Tiener title feels like a dream. As if someone is going to pinch me and say: \u2018Wake up!\u2019. I feel very honored and blessed, and I am incredibly grateful. I am thankful to the Dear Lord who has blessed me so much and grateful for the people who stand behind me and have supported me,\u201d <\/em>she says.<em> \u201cIt is definitely something indescribable, and I can\u2019t wait for what lies ahead. I will make full use of the platform and let my light shine very brightly for others. I will definitely just remain myself and cherish the love of my family and friends,<\/em>\u201d she says about this huge honour that has befallen her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Huisgenoot<\/em> decided to revive this popular competition, which originally began in 1962, after many years in a new, modern format to reach a brand-new generation of readers, between the ages of 13 and 18.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cIt was a great privilege for <strong>Word Leisure Holidays<\/strong> to be part of this exciting competition, and we would like to congratulate Carli on her victory. She managed to capture the hearts of many South Africans in a short time, and we hope that this is just the beginning of wonderful things for this dynamic and inspiring teenager,\u201d<\/em> says Elaine Durr, operations director of this sought-after tour operator, one of the sponsors of the competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The public could vote for their favourite on the hub at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.huisgenoot.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">www.huisgenoot.com<\/a> where the top 10\u2019s videos and photos were featured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to the title, Carli also walks away with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A holiday for her and her family in Mauritius, sponsored by World Leisure Holidays.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An article in <em>Huisgenoot<\/em>, with her inset photo on the cover. The article will also appear on huisgenoot.com and on <em>Huisgenoot<\/em>\u2019s social media.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Miss Teen will feature as a model on <em>Huisgenoot<\/em>\u2019s fashion pages and be a guest presenter in a program on the VIA television channel.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A prize package from Tapputi Egyptian Perfume Oils which includes five bottles of perfume oil, notebooks, and drawstring bags. She may also be invited to appear as a model in marketing material for this brand.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>R10 000 cash.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cWe are thrilled that we decided to revive this competition and are very satisfied with the end result.
