Based on the hit 2000s comedy series <em>Monk<\/em> \u2013 which ran for eight seasons and won eight Emmys \u2013 the film sees Monk tackling one last, very personal case involving his stepdaughter Molly, a journalist preparing for her wedding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At this year\u2019s Critics Choice Awards, <em>Mr Monk&#8217;s Last Case<\/em> was nominated for Best Movie Made for Television, with Shalhoub up for Best Actor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not released in South African cinemas, <em>Mr Monk&#8217;s Last Case <\/em>has a 95% critics\u2019 rating on <em>Rotten Tomatoes<\/em>, with <em>TheWrap<\/em> noting that, \u201cTwo decades later, we can all relate a bit to Adrian Monk. He may even be the perfect sleuth for the post-pandemic jungle we\u2019re living in. Is this case truly his last? After enlisting the help of her friends, Ria attempts to pull off the most ambitious of all wedding heists in the name of independence and sisterhood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As Ria, Priya Kansara was nominated for Best Actress in an Action Movie at this year\u2019s Critics Choice Super Awards. Luckily for us, its movie adaptation <em>Greatest Days<\/em> is coming to Showmax.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Greatest Days<\/em> follows a group of best friends who have the night of their lives watching their favourite boy band in concert.
