The African Fashion Forum (AFF), partnered with DSGN Exchange, is a premier event that bridges the dynamic and diverse African fashion industry with the film, TV, and music industries. The two-day forum offers prominent industry figures, emerging talent and thought leaders an opportunity to come together to explore the intersection of fashion and entertainment. Creatives in these industries will gain insights into current trends, network with designers, brands, retailers, educators and other key stakeholders in the fashion ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The AFF happens in Cape Town from 3\u20134 September 2024 as part of FAME Week Africa, the continent\u2019s premier cultural and creative event taking place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre 2 from 1\u20137 September 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Confirmed fashion brands include: By Brad & Abiah (South Africa), Danayi Madondo (Zimbabwe), Imprint (South Africa), Masa Mara (Rwanda\/South Africa) and Sober Design House (South Africa).<\/p>\n\n\n

Cape Town, a leading global fashion hub, is also home to a thriving film industry. Film makers from across Africa are invited to submit films for the Inaugural Africa Fashion Film Awards<\/strong>. The Awards will take place on 3 September during FAME Week Africa. Films submitted can cover a broad spectrum of creative works, from documentaries and fashion shorts to films that either influence or are influenced by the fashion industry. Award categories to keep in mind include Best Fashion Film, Best Major Brand Production, and Best Music. The film submission deadline is 15 June 2024, after which entries will be reviewed for inclusion in the official 2024 selection. Selected films will be finalised by the end of August.<\/p>\n\n\n
